Frequently asked questions
Common queries and answers about the time tracking roi calculator.
- What counts as recovered hours?
- Time that was previously lost: forgotten entries, untracked billable work, and admin replaced by automation. Even 2 to 3 hours per person per week adds up fast.
- How is value recovered calculated?
- Team size times hours recovered per person per week times working weeks per year, multiplied by the average hourly cost.
- How is net ROI calculated?
- Value recovered minus the annual tool cost, divided by the tool cost. Leave tool cost blank to see only the value recovered.
- Why are the hours shown as decimals?
- Payroll and invoices use decimal hours, not hours and minutes. So 7 hours 30 minutes is 7.50, and you can multiply it by a rate with no extra math.
