More on TimeCampTimeCamp solves the one problem that kills time tracking projects: people forget. The app fills the sheet in and you correct it, which is far easier to keep up than starting a timer twelve times a day. On top of that the free plan has no user cap, which almost nobody else offers, so a whole team can try it for nothing.
Where it wins
- Free plan has no user or project limit, still true as of 31 July 2026
- The desktop app writes most of the timesheet before anyone touches it
- Keyword rules sort work into the right project on their own
- Attendance, overtime, time off and invoicing all arrive at the $3.99 tier
- Syncs projects from 26 tools and starts timers inside 80 more through the browser plugin
Where it falls short
- The AI Time Tracker is billed by token use, not by seat, and TimeCamp's own estimate is about $6 per user a month on top
- Timesheet approvals are Ultimate only, so the two cheaper paid tiers have no sign-off step at all
- Geofencing and the shared time clock are Enterprise, which has no published price
- Attendance and time off are not on the free plan despite the free plan being unlimited
- Screenshots and activity scoring exist, which makes it a harder sell to a team that does not want to be watched
