What it is

Jibble is a time and attendance app that lets staff clock in from a phone, a browser, a desktop app, a Chrome extension, a shared tablet, or straight from Slack and Microsoft Teams. Those punches build timesheets you can approve and send to payroll. The unusual part is the price. Jibble gives all of that away free, for an unlimited number of people, with no trial clock running. It says it averages 4.8 out of 5 across the review sites and app stores.

Who needs this

Hourly, shift and field teams who need proof of who clocked in and where, and who do not want a per-head bill for it. It is a weak fit if you bill clients from your hours, because there is no invoicing, and a weak fit if a finance team has to sign off a budget, because the paid rates are not on the website.

The apps

Every way Jibble lets a person clock in

Eight of the 26 results for this brand are a place to download something. That is not an accident. Jibble ships more clock-in surfaces than almost anyone.

Phone, browser and desktop

There are iPhone and Android apps, a web app in any browser, and a desktop app for Windows and Mac. Jibble also runs two different iPhone listings, one called Attendance Tracker and one called Time Tracker, which is worth knowing before you tell a crew which to install.

A Chrome extension

Jibble puts a timer in the Chrome toolbar so office staff can start and stop work without opening another tab. TimeTracker has no browser extension. You start and stop the timer in our web app or on your phone instead.

A shared tablet by the door

Jibble runs a kiosk mode where one tablet covers a whole crew, and it checks each face at the punch so nobody clocks a friend in. TimeTracker has nothing like this. Everyone signs in as themselves on their own device.

GPS and geofences on the punch

Jibble records where each clock-in happened and can fence a punch to a job site, and it does this on the free plan. TimeTracker also blocks a clock-in from outside an allowed place, using geofences, IP ranges and accuracy limits, but ours is on the paid plan.

Clocking in with no signal

Jibble stores an offline punch on the device and syncs it when the connection returns, which matters on a building site or in a basement. A TimeTracker clock-in needs a live connection, so we are the wrong tool for a dead zone.

Slack, Teams and payroll

Staff can clock in from Slack or Microsoft Teams without switching apps, and approved hours export to Xero, QuickBooks and Deel. TimeTracker exports timecards, leave and balances to CSV, and you load that file yourself.

Is the free plan real? Yes, and here is the proof

We sell a competing product, so this is the part we have the most reason to shade. We are not going to. Everything below came off jibble.io on 31 July 2026.

Free forever, unlimited people

Jibble's own pricing page opens with "Free forever, unlimited users" and its FAQ answers the question directly: unlimited users, clock-in from mobile and web, basic timesheets, and Slack, Teams and QuickBooks integrations, at no cost, forever. There is no seat cap and no countdown.

The face check is free too

Jibble's face recognition attendance page is headed "100% FREE Face Recognition Attendance" and repeats "free forever for unlimited users". Most vendors put that behind a paid tier. This is the single most generous thing in this category and it deserves saying out loud.

So is GPS, and so is the kiosk

Jibble's employee GPS tracking page and its shared kiosk page are both headed "100% FREE". A small team can therefore run verified, located, shared-device attendance for zero dollars a month. No qualifier needed.

What free does not stretch to

Reviews that ranked in July 2026 agree that leave accruals, multi-level approvals, unlimited job sites, custom permissions and live location sit on paid tiers. Jibble does not spell that boundary out on its pricing page, so treat the exact line as unconfirmed.

There is no free trial, because there is no need

You do not start a clock and lose access in 14 days. The free plan is the entry point and you upgrade only when you hit something it will not do. That is a genuinely better shape than a trial, and we say so as a competitor.

How that compares to us

TimeTracker is free for up to 3 people and then $15 per user a month, or $12 billed yearly. On price for basic attendance, Jibble wins and it is not close. What you buy from us is what happens to the hours after they are logged.

How much does Jibble cost? Nobody can tell you

We read the rendered pricing page on 31 July 2026 and then read every review ranking for the brand. They do not agree with the vendor, or with each other, or in one case with themselves.

The plan table is not on the site

jibble.io/pricing/ was loaded with JavaScript running. The words "Premium", "Ultimate" and "per user" do not appear anywhere in the page. Neither does any per-seat dollar figure. What is there is a free-forever pitch and a calculator that tells you how much you would save.

Three reviews, four price lists

OnTheClock's review says Premium is $5.99 and Ultimate $10.99. TimeCamp's says $3.99 and $7.99. Clockify's article says $1.99, $4.49 and $7.99 in one section and $3.49, $6.99 and $8.99 in another. Same product, same month, same two plan names.

Our own fact sheet is a fifth number

The Jibble entry in our comparison data says Premium $4.49 and Ultimate $7.99, checked in July 2026. We cannot verify that against the vendor today either, so treat it the same way you should treat the reviews. Ask Jibble for a quote in writing.

Why this matters more than it sounds

A published price is something you can budget against and hold a vendor to. When it moves off the website, the only way to learn the renewal rate is to already be a customer. That is a procurement problem, not a marketing quibble.

Start on the free plan, because it is real. Before you put a whole company on it, write to Jibble and get the paid rate, the plan boundary and the renewal terms in an email. Then the number exists somewhere you can point at.

Can Jibble see your screen?: Only if your employer switches it on. Jibble sells a screenshot feature and an employee monitoring product, so periodic screen captures are possible on the plans that include them. It is off by default and it is not part of ordinary clock-in. TimeTracker cannot do this at all. We record hours, not what is on your monitor, and there is no setting to change that.
Is Jibble really free?: Yes, and it is worth separating two things. The free plan is real and unlimited, verified on the vendor's own pages. What is not clear is where free stops. Jibble does not publish the plan boundary, so the list of what needs an upgrade comes from reviews rather than from Jibble. Assume leave accruals, multi-level approvals and live location are paid, and confirm it before you commit.
