- What is a statement of work?
- It is a short document that spells out a job before it starts. It says what you will do, what you will hand over, when it is due, what it costs, and the rules both sides agree to. A good SOW stops arguments later because everything is written down.
- Can I fill this in on the page?

- A contract covers the legal relationship and usually lasts a while. A statement of work sits under it and covers one specific job: this project, these deliverables, this price. Many teams sign a master contract once, then add a new SOW for each project.
