How the Pomodoro technique works
The Pomodoro technique is a time management method created by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a kitchen timer to break work down into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. These intervals are named pomodoros, the Italian word for tomato.
