- How do I work out the planned cost for a task?
- Multiply the planned hours by the rate. So 10 hours at 50 per hour is a planned cost of 500. Type that number into the planned cost column and it adds into your budget total.
- Why are the hours shown as decimals?
- Rates are charged per decimal hour, not per hour and minute. So 7 hours 30 minutes is 7.5, and you can multiply it by a rate without any extra math.
- Can I change the rate for each task?
- Yes. Each row has its own rate, so a designer at one rate and a developer at another both fit on the same sheet. The planned cost column still totals to one budget.
- Is my budget saved?
