- How is net pay worked out?
- Net pay is gross earnings minus every deduction. Gross is everything earned before tax. Net is what actually lands in the bank after tax and other amounts are held back.
- Why do the earnings show decimal hours?
- Payroll runs on decimal hours, not hours and minutes. So 7 hours 30 minutes is 7.5, and you can multiply it by a rate without any extra math. Enter hours and a rate and the amount fills in for you.
- Does this work out taxes for me?
- No. You type each deduction yourself, like income tax, social security, or health cover. Tax depends on your country and each person's situation, so the tool never guesses it.
